That is correct for Henry. I do have one more that I believe is his. In Boone County Kentucky where Henry, James, and Seth went to after leaving Fleming County Kentucky was a Robert Burris born in 1821 who married Paulina Rich Oct 8, 1844 in Boone. I have searched the Burris' in Boone and have come to the conclusion he would be Henrys. Henry and his wife Hannah (Harmon) had a son that age in 1830. Then in 1840 Nicholas and Lavina (Burris) Baker had a male that age living with them. Brother Seth and Rebecca Polly married in 1825 and James and Martha in 1828. So both of the brothers married after Robert was born. Henry and Hannah married in 1813. I decend from Lavina who was my great, great, great grandma.

Okay. This is what I have for children for Henry:
1) Mary Ann Burris (I think she was the first wife of my gg grandfather Alfred Allen. They married in 1841, but by 1847 he was married to Harriet Burris. 2) David C. Burris b. ca 1827 KY m. Nancy R. McConnoghay. They had a daughter Rebecca Eliza Burris, who I believe is the same Rebecca living with Alfred Allen and Harriet (Burris) Allen in the 1850 census in Reeve Twp, Daviess Co IN, she is 14. 3) Benjamin F. Burris married Eliza Wininger, 4) Sarah C. Burris who was married to Anderson Van Winkle and then married a Carberry, 5) Lavina Burris who was married to Nicholas Baker.
I do like your theory that Garland could be one of Henry's missing sons. I do have David born about the same year as Garland, though they could be a year or so apart.

I appreciate the information. As far as Garland and Harriet going to Illinois I am unsure. As up till now I didnt know his parents names. My mom is George W's granddaughter and we are working on this together we are from MD. Another, question, I have Caroline, Seth's wife listed as living with Pearl on the 1920 census as a widow do you know when Seth and Caroline died. Because there is another Seth Burris that is married on the 1930 census to a Hattie? I dont think its him though.

I have Seth Curtis Burris b. 1854 Indiana. He is the son of Garland Burris b. ca. 1827 KY and Harriet Gilley b. 1837 IN. They were married 5 Aug 1851 Daviess Co Indiana. I believe they also had a son Jesse P. b. ca.1856.
I don't know who Garland's parents were. I do think he probably fits into this same family previously mentioned James Burris sho married Martha Jane Hutchinson and James father, Henry.
I believe if you look in the Daviess Co Indiana archieves you will find someone looking for the parents of Garland.
I have often wondered if Garland is a middle name. Garland and Harriet are in 1860 census in Reeve Twp, Daviess Co Indiana. That is the only record I have of them. Did they go to Illinois also?

I just looked in the marriages for Indiana. There is a S.C. Burris who married Caroline Mayes on Sept 16 1877 in Knox County. Would that be yours? I wonder on the name Mayes. It could be a misspell like alot of the names but might be close

My MD to KY ancestors were RINEY, RANEY, CARRICO, KEITH, CISSELL, SUMMERS, TEWELL, O'BRIEN, MOORE
Recently I received information from letters written in the late 1800's that indicates, my ggg grand Jeremiah RINEY RANEY would have been brother of Clement RINEY who married Susannah MONTGOMERY. This was a great find.
