My mistake... my grandmother's last name (maiden) was Brothers- NOT Davis. I have found a little information- and the sisters I listed were correct ie: Ruth, Mildred, and Ina. There were some boys in this family, as well...?
Any help finding any information for Mary Elizabeth Brothers ( or her parent) would be appreciated.
Thank you.

My grandfather, George W. Denny (of Martin co) died in Washington, Indiana, I believe in 1929.. Would his death certificate be in Daviees Co? If so, where can I go to get a copy of it? I have never seen a death certificate from Indiana and so don't know what information is recorded. Would the death certificate list his parents and their place of birth? I know George's father was Moses Denny, but don't know where he came from. Any help would be appreciated.

Have nothing to speak of on James Ash. Believe he had a son named Lewis Ash who married Hester Norris. Haven't done much with this Norris line yet.

Dear "Cousin Dee",
Thanks for your info, which confirms much of ours and adds a couple of middle names. My wife is descended from Thomas Leo. Say, how do our spouses get us to do all this work??
Do you have any more precise birth dates for this family? I have 13-June-1841 for James, but "about" for the rest of them.
Dave

I recently came across some information that an Enos Blecher married Eilizabeth Gilly Kellams, the widow of James Kellams, in 1855 or there abouts. They were married in Daviess County, IN. But in the 1860 census, Elizabeth is again listed as Kellams with no Enos Belcher to be found. Do you have any informtion on this Belcher?

Thanks Don. I have been to the courthouse and looked up the marriage certificate. It says nothing about who their parents are. All that is listed is their names and the clerks name.
Thanks again. I'll keep looking. I'll also look at the census records also.

Just trying to help. Joseph B Franklin married Sarah Sheets in Greene county on 2 Aug 1889, source is book M, page 542. You might contact the clerk of the county court to see if any further info is contained in the record. You can find their family in the 1900 census for Greene county, Cass township, Dist 22, sheet 5B or page 10, lines 80 to 85. Good luck. Don

Hi. I am trying to research my great and great-great grandparents. Any information would be great !!!
This is the information I have:
Anna Pearl Franklin (1904/06-1969) married Loris Souders (Sowder/Souder) in 1920 in Greene County IN. These are my great grandparents.
Their children were: Henry Lee(my Grandfather), Joetta M.; Everett, Rosemary, Brenda; Barbra, Anna Fye(Annetta), Alfred, Kenneth, and Lynzie.
Anna Pearls Parents were: Joseph Benton? Franklin and Sarah Sheets. I have no other info on them.
I did find an 1880 census record from Madison, Daviess, Indiana that shows a Joseph B. Franklin, age 12, parents as: James R. Franklin and Malinda Franklin.
This is ALL I have.
Any information on the Franklins that pertain to this particular family would be of great help!! I have been working on this for some time and my family does not seem to want to help me other than giving me what I have stated above.
Thanks in advance !!!

Hi,
Another gal and I are planning on driving to Washington from Jasper to hunt down Hochgesangs/Wilzes/Daniels/Chapmans/Goodwins. The Chapmans and Goodwins came into Daviess Co by 1819-- the others much, much later. Where are things located in Washington? And can someone give me directions? We want to get as much done as possible and not be driving everywhere to find things.
Thanks. Helen Zuber Keusch
