"WILSON - CLARK.
NUPTIALS OF MR. THOS. WILSON, JR. AND MISS IDA CLARK WEDNESDAY.
Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. Mr. Thos. WILSON, Jr., was married to Miss Ida CLARK, at the Presbyterian church in this city. The ceremony was performed by Rev. E. C. TRIMBLE, formerly of this city, now pastor of the Presbyterian church of Seymour. The bride, a petite brunette, was dressed in a neat traveling suit of brown cashmere, with hat to match, and looked as happy as a canary. The groom was arrayed in a neat suit of black, with white vest. The attendants were Mr. W. L. JACKSON and Miss Dora THOMPSON. The mother, sister, brother and sister-in-law of the bride also stood up with the party. The ceremony was brief but impressive. The altar was handsomely decorated with flowers. As the party entered and departed from the church, Miss Mollie SWEENEY played Mendelsohn's beautiful wedding march upon the organ. The happy groom and his blushing bride, after receiving congratulations in the vestibule of the church from relatives and friends, left in a carriage for the O. & M. d!
epot to take the train for Cincinnati where they will remain a short time. The groom is the son of Mr. Thomas WILSON, Sr., of the firm of CABEL, WILSON & Co. He is an energetic and industrious young man and is superintendent of the mines. The bride is the youngest daughter of Mrs. Laura CLARK of this city. No cards. The DEMOCRAT joins the numerous friends of the newly wedded pair in wishing them a happy and prosperous life. The bride was the recipient of the following presents from relatives and near friends.

"OBITUARY - DEATH OF MRS. ELIZABETH BELDING.
Mrs. Elizabeth Belding died Thursday evening, October 23, at her home in this city. Aged 75. About a year since the deceased received a slight paralytic stroke, since which time she has been in very bad health. The immediate cause of her death was an attack of pneumonia. Her maiden name was CLENNEY. She was born near Hillsboro, N. C., May 5, 1804; married May 1, 1823. She was the mother of nine children, five of whom are living. The names of the surviving children are Mrs. Laura CLARK, Mrs. G. S. WALTERS, Mrs. J. E. THOMPSON, Mrs. Mary EVANS, and the publisher of this paper. She came to this county more than three-score years ago, and while busy with the cares of a large family and enduring the privations incident to the lives of our early settlers, witnessed the marvelous changes that have taken place since that time. What was then a wilderness is now dotted with happy homes, cultivated fields, churches, school houses, and workshops. Her husband, Stephen BELDING, !
died in October, 1843. The deceased was a member of the Presbyterian church. She died surrounded by her children and grandchildren, and bade them all farewell, hoping to meet them again. She was a good Christian, a good woman, and a good mother who knew how to suffer and endure.
The funeral will take place this afternoon at 2 o'clock from her late residence. The remains will be interred, as she desired, alongside of her dead husband and children in the old Presbyterian cemetery. Rest in peace, mother; after a well-spent life that has had its full share of hardships and sorrow. And may angels of young children guide your spirit across the dark river; and if above, relative positions are accorded those who are permitted to enter the pearly gates, according to the weight of the crosses borne here below, your place should be "only a little lower than the angels."
