WOW! After all these years! Hello 3rd cousin once removed!
On my grandmother's baptismal record the sponsors are listed, in Latin, as Joannis McMauley et Maria Hagarty! (I thought they might be siblings of her parents.)
I have a photocopy of a photo of The McCauley Girls; Teresa, Spinster Bea, Maggie Jones, and Liz - wife of Jon McCauley. (spelled as written on the photo).
A 1929 newspaper article on the death of Patrick B. McCauley lists the residence of John McCauley as Corning.
Does this sound familiar? I haven't worked on this line in years.

Are you looking for Theresa McCauley born about 1864 in Martin Co Indiana? I know she married a McDonald but I don't know his first name. I have a picture of the McDonald's wedding anniversary. If so her parents were John McCauley and Mary Hagerty. They are on the 1870 census for Martin Co. Theresa's brother John E. McCauley was my Great-Great Grandfather. The McCauley's moved to Daviess Co. when John McCauley died in 1870 and Mary married a Patrick Kelly.

"EPSOM GRADUATES TAKE UP TEACHING
Annual Commencement Exercises Held at Epsom Saturday Night.
An unusual feature in connection with the Epsom high school commencement exercises, held at the Epsom high school Saturday night, is the fact that all of the graduates, six in number, will enter the teaching profession. Figures have been compiled showing that fewer and fewer high school graduates are taking up teaching, but Epsom high school's graduating class is trying to reduce the shortage in this profession.
The names of the graduates are Iva Fern GREENWOOD, Treasie HARDY, Donald KELLER, Velma KETCHEM, Margaret OSMON and Roscoe RITCHIE.
The assembly-room of the Epsom high school was beautifully decorated by the junior class for the event. The boys wore black and the girls were all dressed in white. All wore the class flower, the white carnation.
Dr. Sherman DAVIS, of Indiana University, made the commencement address, the subject being "The Social Value of the High School." Music was supplied by the Odon orchestra. The invocation was pronounced by Hamlet ALLEN and Prin. D. H. CARTER awarded the diplomas. County Superintendnet J. E. GILLEY was on the platform and called attention to the fact that all six of the graduates will enter the teaching profession. Daniel I. MYERS, county auditor, took pride in the commencement. He built the Epsom high school while trustee and started the high school.
Teachers in the high school are D. H. CARTER, principal, history and English; Elizabeth HERT, Latin, English, domestic science; Hamlet ALLEN, mathematics, sciences; Glenn HINDMAN, agriculture, manual training; Josephine ALLEN, music and art. A. E. HINDMAN is the present township trustee."
