I am looking for information on my father's family. His name was Ellis Bush, and he graduated from Washington High in 1916. His father was Samuel Bush, and his mother Annie (Ellis) Bush, and siblings, Earl and Carrie. His grandfather may have been Benjamin Bush who was married to Lydia (no maiden name known), but I can't be sure. If you have any information that will help me authenticate or extend this information, especially in the Ellis family, I would appreciate it.

About 1907, they moved back to Missouri, residing in Stoddard county near Dexter where three more children were born. Later they moved to Dunklin county, Missouri near Campbell (Campbell (MO) history, p. 85). Compiler's comment: The last move to Dunklin county was preceded by a move to Arkansas as shown below in the 1920 census.

BORING, head, 62, farmer; Laura A., wife, 51; Fred M., son, 22, born, Indiana, farm laborer; John W., son, 18, born Missouri, farm laborer; Luther O., son, 10, born Missouri. Dear n_jlewis...
I have a very slim ray of possible information to offer from the
very periphery of my family line. The daughter of Dempsey Casey [1798-1864]
had a daughter Louise Estes Casey, b. 1849 Taylor Twp, Greene Co. who
married a male Hawkins. This tenuous information goes on as ff:
"The funeral of Miss Dicy Hawkins was held Sunday morning at Prairie
Chapel, conducted by Rev. J. N. Blue of the M. E. church at this place.
Notwithstanding the inclement weather there was a large attendance from
here and neighboring towns Miss Dicy had many friends who deeply sympathize
with the bereaved family and relatives in their sad affliction Those from
out of town were Mrs. Ragle and Mattie Coy of Odon Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Mc
Intosh of Bloomfield; Mrs. Minnie Foulkerson of Washington; Mr and Mrs.
Sherman Price of. Indianapolis Miss Anna Stone,1 of Scotland and Mrs.
Lillie Teague and little daughter Edna, of Elnora."
This might or might not be a daughter of Hawkins and Louisa [Casey].
At least this might give you some additional material to work on. Down with
brick walls!

Dear List Members,
I just ran across an interesting Website, "Courthouse Experiences"
http://www.bcpl.net/~dmg/courthouse.htm Not every county is listed, but
the ones listed gave helpful information regarding the attitudes of
those working in the courthouses.
I might suggest that if you have had a positive or negative courthouse
experience you add them to this site.
I now know how to prepare myself for several courthouses I want to visit
later this year.

My brick wall is Elizabeth Scott, bon in Kentucky abt 1822. Her family moved
to Indiana; I don't know if it was to Daviess or Owen Co. She married in Owen
Co. to Jesse Fain Couchman 23 Sep 1844. They had three children there, then
moved to Iowa. If anyone has a missing Elizabeth Scott that fits a part of this
description, please let me know.

This isn't much help, but...
I also have a Ferguson ancestor who is said to be Cherokee. She was born in
Virginia, married in Tennessee and ended up in Greene County, Missouri. There
are several sites on the internet that give help in tracing Indian ancestors.
At one of them I found many Ferguson names. If you need any addresses of the
