There is a microfilmed index for the 1860 Indiana Federal Census. On that I saw a James Oscar Kellan listed. I , of course, can't find my notes for it at this moment, but did see it listed.

Jinny Tate married John Ritter Daviess County, Indiana 3 November 1836;
It is possible that "Jinny" equals "Jane". There is a Carey Tate in the
County
who could be her brother.
Does anyone have proof of Jinny's ancestry? Is she a daughter of Edward
Tate and Sarah Mc Mullen?
Circumstantial evidence indicates that this is the line, but I have no
proof.

I am searching for anyone who might have some information or pictures of this Russell family. They are from northern Daviess Co. IN since early 1860's and had at least 3 sons, Armistead, Samuel P and Harvey H. I know there were other children but have been unable to find much info on them.
John and Margaret are my great grandparents. I would love to find a picture of them and perhaps some more family information. I would be happy to share what info I have with other decendents.
Can anyone tell me more about this couple? I believe they married after 1850
and likely in Daviess Co, but I do not have access to those marriages. I am
particularly interested in Eliza Robertson.

I can get the contact information for you if you're interested, and I have a student paper written about the cemetery and some other resources. If you have ancestors buried there we might be cousins. My ancesters Joseph Ketchem (1768-1840) and Silas Ketcham (1803-1860) are buried there. Unfortuneately the cemtery has been going down hill recently, with grave markers being moved and knocked down.

That might be the right one, but this is for my sister-in-law and she said her mother was 81 now so she would have been born about 1912 and Lawrence Gregory was my sister-in-laws grandfather, so she really didn't know him how old he would be. I just estimated the date of 1900 because of her mothers age. Her mother was born in Daviess co. so I am flying blind here. The one that was born in 1923 might be her uncle, as he was named after her grandfather. Is the Lawrence Gregory you found married at all. My sister-=in-law seem to think he lived in the same house he grew up in and someone else said that Frank might be his father. thats about all i know. Thanks for your help. I appreciate it very much.
