I noticed your query about the above, but I also noticed your interest in Daviess County and your last name. A lot of my HARRIS family is from there. Any possible connection? Thanks,

it used to be. But if I haven't responded before, this is what I know of
Ophia L. Kinnaman: she was the eldest child of Thomas Jefferson Kinnaman
(son of Andrew and Mary) and Elizabeth A. Freed. She was born 21 Sept 1878,
likely in Daviess County. She married Charles A. Adams on 6 February 1899.
Charles was born 27 Jan 1875. They may have had a daughter born 2 Feb 1902.
Ophia died 2 Nov 1970; Charles died 19 days later on 21 Sep 1970. They are
buried in Walnut Hill Cemetery north of Odon. I appologise if I have already
sent this. Jim Kinnaman

I'm not related to the CRIGER surname at all. Turns out my BAKER grandfather worked on the railroad and may have found the Bible in a train car. Anyway, a researcher who traces her family back to Porterfield Criger contacted me last year, and I mailed the Bible to her. She lives in Kansas or Missouri, as I remember.
Sorry I don't have any more info.

Mona, do you still have this Criger Family Bible? Also, what is your grandfather's surname and other surnames in your family? We might have a connection.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.

For those new to the roots web and those of you veterans I would like to say
that there are many folks who subscribe that are willing to do what they
can to help others in their research.
I, myself do Volunteer research at Andersonville Civil War Prison in
Andersonville Georgia. There are Any research I do is absolutely at NO cost
and I am willing to do what I can. There are 1743 prisoners of war on record
from the state of Indiana and about 700 who died here, I thought I would
send my offer. I also do the research for any prisoners from any state that
were here.
Here are my sources of research.
There are 2 online databases to do lookups.....One by name...one by Company
and Regiment. I also have a copy of the Dorence Atwater Death list
which has the names and grave numbers of 12960 graves with only 460 marked
as " UNKNOWN " This along with a CD I have which contains 34,000 names of
the 45,000 who
were imprisoned there which helps me find prisoner records because of
mispellings of the names or alternate names. I visit the prison site every
couple of weeks and have access to the onsite databases as well as the
physical files. Please do not concider this spam as my research offer is
FREE for the asking and will be posted on this county site only once.
If there is anything I can do in helping your research at Andersonville,
please just ask.

Seeking record of divorce of Andrew PITTMAN and Eliza/Elizabeth
NUTTERFEE/NUTTERFIELD, between 1822 and 1830... They were married 5-23-1822,
in Nelson Co., Ky., when Eliza was almost 12 yrs old...(They perhaps had 4
children) I know that some time between then and 1833, they were apparently
divorced, as Andrew remarried Millie Zimmerman, 7-31-1837. Also, before
1833, Eliza remarried to a John CARTER Jr, (and proceeded to have a total of
13 children) and moved to Owen County Indiana...
Any help appreciated.
