At that early date, it's unlikely to give more detail. You can rent the
microfilm of the original through the Family History Library...and research
LOTS of marriages that way.
The pre-1850 ones are online.

I would like to order a marriage aplication from Davisee County. I have
the marriage
license but from what I understand a application gives more
information. Would I be able to get this application from the County
Clerk? and what would the cost be?
The marriage occured 11, October 1866. Thanks, Gwen

Hi Johanna and Bob, sorry it took so long to get back to you. The Wallace's are truly vast. The Rev. John was a circuit rider in Daviess county and Died in 1822. His widow Elanore Morgan Wallace then Married a horrall. There is some information on The Rev. he served in the Amer. Rev. This is where it get sticky. I am trying to find his parents, One source is written and read through the DAR that would lead to a Michael Wallace and the Family homestead named Ellerslie after ancestory home in Paisley Scotland. but I can't get the link. Now the logical thing to do is find out where he got his ordination as a Methodist Minister. There has got to be a record and that could lead to his parents. Where are you located? E mail directly to me and I will give you further leads. Sincerely, Peggy
