Do you have anything on a Emma Jane Horrell? I have her name listed as Horrell and Harrell. She married Henry Adams around 1869 and had at least one daughter Harriett C. Adams in 1876. Henry Adams remarried in 1877 so I assume that Jane died when she had Harriett or shortly thereafter.
Does anyone have acess to Daviess County marriage records? I found a listing
for an Elmer Ennis/Maud Borings marriage 1/3/1909, book 12, OSPage 321. I
would like more information of these people. Thanks...Bob

Albert McCracken, b Oct 1846, Daviess Co. m 1st 26 Dec 1867, Rosanna Johnson and to my knowledge no children were b to this marriage. Albert m 2nd, 24 Nov 1871, Daviess Co, Dorah Ferguson, b Aug 1853 in Ohio. They had 5 children: Ephraim, b 1874; Robert D., b Nov 1877; Anna P., b Aug 1884; Delmyetta, b Aug 1887; and Walter.
Albert was one of 10 children born to John McCracken and Sarah Jane Webber, whose marriage was 26 Jan 1828, Daviess Co. John, born 8 Jan 1807, Mason Co. KY, was son of John and Elizabeth (Wood) McCracken.
Sarah Jane Webber is the 8th generation from Wolfert Webber and is covered completely and documented in my book, Dutch Webbers of Indiana and Illinois, currently available.
The McCracken-Webber Estate was a cruel hoax. There was so such estate connected with Wolfert Webber. This subject is also covered in "Dutch Webbers."

I know some about the Byrer family as I am researching them and we lived just down the road from them when I was just a child. Can't say I remember any of them but Little Clarence and Lee.. They were older than I was. I am related through Emily Byrer who married my ggrandfather Mark Harper and was a sister to Ava. I am looking for a picture of Emily. If anyone out there has one I sure would love a copy. What I can tell you is Clarence was never married and Lee was in the navy and settled in Phoenix, Arizona and died a few years ago. Fred was a descendant of Noah Byrer and I have a picture of him and his family. Vonda Byrer Chadd of R1 Odon, In. has a lot of family history also and is closer related to Fred than I am. Her father was Clarence Byrer a cousin to Fred. She probably can tell you more about Freds family than I can. Leveda Clark e-mail casey(a)dmrtc.net

Do you happen to have any information on the marriage and ancestors of Albert McCracken and Dorah or Dora or Dorothy Ferguson, both born about 1850/1860 time frame and living in Daviess Co.? I am hoping to trace these lines and others that connect, back to the time of entry into the United States. I was told that Albert McCracken was the descendent of an indentured servant who entered the country about five generations earlier. They are connected in some way with the McCracken-Webber Estate, so I am assuming that there might have been a marriage between these families, as well. I understand that these Webbers were Dutch. Any information that you might be able to provide regarding specific names and dates of ancestors; their migration paths; and points-of-contact for applicable family bibles would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for anything that you might have available.

My 4th Great Grandfather was Allen Buzan of Daviess County, Indiana. He fought for the 80th Indiana Infantry, Company D. I am in the process of obtaining Civil War Pension Records from the National Archives in Washington D.C.. I have run into something rather unusual. I was told that there are two compiled service records, but the Military Pension Record is missing. They told me although virtually almost all of the Military Pensions shown in the indexes are available by request, there are a very few that have been lost "through the ages," chiefly, misfiled in one of the literally millions of storage slots reserved for Military Pensions, and my record happens to be one of them. I thought that I would post this information in hopes of actually finding the pension records, or ask for your opinion. Are there other avenues for obtaining pension records? Old Genealogy books, Veteran Administration? Thanks for any information at all!
Sincerely,
Clara M. Arnold

Very Interesting! I too am a descendent of Mark Brewer. His daughter, Mary Ann, had 2 husbands. The 1st was Sebastian Norris, who died. They had 2 sons. The 2nd husband, Michael Lannan, is my GG Grandfather. In the DAR library, they cited Mark's father James as having 12 children but I can only find the same 8 you have.
Would like to swap Brewer info. I have the line back to George Brewer b 1625-1640 transported to MD by LCOL Jarboe. His servitude completed 1667. He had 2 wives: Eliza Goddard and Ann (unk).

Seeking contact with descendants of the McTegert family, that showed
in the 1850 Washington Township, Daviess Co., IN census.
In the probate papers of Raphael Spinks, decd 1860, Washington Co.,

are descendants of Raphael Spink(s).
Would like to obtain information on these cousins.

Is there any one with these last names or kin to these people who live in
Davies County. My great grandparents moved from there in 1890 but left
relatives behind that should have families still in that area.
