Is anyone searching for Box Family in Daviess County Indiana in 1850's. I just found out that the Box Family I am searching was not always in Missouri like I originally thought they were living in Daviess County, Indiana. Now I wonder if they new my other families that were around that area at that time that I am searching.

Fred Weaver was married to my grandmother, Mattie Peed. His son Fred Jr was married to my aunt Thelma Grubb. They lived in the Terre Haute area. There were three daughters to Thelma and Fred, named Betty, Jeri and Patty. Not much else is known
I am looking for a Sanford Brown who was married to Mary J. ?. Sanford was my great-great grandfather. The information that I have is very limited. The Sanford Brown that I am looking for had a son named Harry Ellsworth Brown-b.May 8. 1886. Both of Harry's parents died when he was very young and he was raised by other people. If anyone has any information, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank You, Lynda Pense.

I am trying to find information on a Rebecca Allen b: abt 1802 VA, m: William Ledgerwood. I believe Rebecca Allen was perhaps a sister to my Floyd "Jackson" Allen, b'1816 TN, who was in Daviess Co in the late 1830 to 1850's when he moved to MO. Trying to find who the parents were. Somehow I think there may have been a connection to Andrew Jackson Allen, who was in Greene Co., IN. They were both in Rush Co., IN before coming to Daviess and Greene Co., IN. Thank you in advance

The "OLD PERKINS CEMETERY" is in Barr Township in Daviess Co. Indiana. Glad you liked the photo. The front headstone with the name Perkins was added in 1995 I think. Also it was cleaned up and a fence put around it. It was just weed eated that morning. Sheryl.
Sheryl:
Thank you for posting your Old Perkins Cemetery Photo. I just printed it on my new HP DeskJet Printer I received today. The Colors came out brilliantly.
I don't remember, did you tell me where the Cemetery is? Can you refresh my memory?
Thanks again for the Photo.

The caretaker of this cemetery [Ron Beasley] has kinfolk buried there from
the earliest days of Raglesville (ca. 1835), as well as a plot plan. I know
from photos taken in the late 1940's and in the late 1990's that there has
been a fair amount of vandalism, especially of the larger, more
ostentatious monuments. Mr. Beasley told me that he had stacked those
vandalized monuments behind the maintenance shed on the east boundary of
the "old" part of the cemetery.
There is some pressure on the old part of the cemetery, closest to the Mt.
Joy Church, by the needs of the burgeoning Mennonite community. I tried to
discover the owner of this cemetery without success, as I wanted to insure
some continuity to the Ragle family plot and other kinfolk [including
CASEY]. If you have information about the ownership, please let me know.

Friends...
It would be VERY helpful, when you REPLY to a list server message, to
include a bare-bones indication of WHAT you are replying to...a snippet of
the original message or something similar. In my opinion, this is
infinitely more helpful than replying privately, especially when the query
and/or the reply concern general family details for Daviess Co.

All I know at this part is my ggrt grandfather was Wm. G. Casey, son of Dempsey & Dicy Martin Casey. The family was living in Raglesville and Wm. G. and his parents were buried there. He married M. Catherine Taylor in 1861 But she remarried after his death in 1883 to a Keck . I believe I had posted Heck. Sorry. By this information I believe M. Catherine Taylor was from that Co. or close by.
