Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Using the US geological survey maps is a great way to find places and
features (like creeks and cemeteries). You can also print out maps of the
results. It works for all states and all counties.
I did a search for Shiloh (feature name) in Daviess Co Indiana and got these
results. If it doesn't come through correctly, you should go back and do the
search and get the maps.
I've used this source to find all the cemeteries in a county and maps to
them..even the little tiny old ones.

Died - September 5th 1872, Nannie, daughter of Lemuel B. and Catherine C. CRABBS, aged 6 years. She was a lovely child, and loved by all. In her innocence she often sung, "I want to be an angel" and in the Sabbath School her voice was cheerful and sweet. She rests now, her happy spirit having taken its flight to the realms of bliss. In heaven she awaits her parents, and is an angel there now.

Fatal - Last Sunday, Jack BARNES and a man by the name of WATTS, both coal miners, were out hunting east of town. Watts had discharged one barrel of his gun and was reloading it, having sprung the cock of both barrels. While in the act of reloading the remaining charge found a lodgment in his face, left side, frightfully mangling it, and literally blowing off the back part of his head, of course, killing him instantly. He leaves a wife and five children in Pennsylvania.

Just as he had crossed, as we are informed, the animals became unmanageable and ran over Mr. W., the wagon passing over his body and so badly injuring him that he died that night. Mr. W. was in the prime of life, and highly respected by all who knew him. He leaves a wife and six children to mourn his premature departure from this life. Died - Last Tuesday about 7:)) AM, at her late residence in Washington Township, Mrs. Sarah WALLACE, age 82 years. Mrs. WALLACE was one of the oldest citizens of the county having emigrated to this county with her husband, Hon. W. WALLACE, from South Carolina when Indians were plentiful here and when there were but three settlements in the county; one known as the WALLACE and HORRALL settlement in the forks of White river, one the HAWKINS' settlement in Hawkins' Prairie and one the BALLOW settlement not far from High Rock. Mrs. WALLACE was a lady of remarkable energy and just the kind of a woman to make a fit companion for a pioneer husband. Once while at home alone, some hostile Indians visited her residence and she, well understanding their treacherous nature, directed their attention in another direction while she escaped to the stable, caught a horse and without saddle rode at the top of his speed to give the alarm. Hon. Wm. WALLACE, her consort was State Senator at !
the time of his death, which occurred many years ago. Mrs. WALLACE was a member of the M. E. Church and a deeply pious lady. A large circle of relatives and friends mourn her loss. "After life's fitful fever she sleeps well." She has joined those whose trust in the Lord took them to that haven of rest prepared for all who love and obey him. Rest in peace.
