Shelley,
I am not related to the Collins; however, I have been researching Hiram and his father as
they were both stonecarvers. Please let me know if you hear from anyone related to this
family or pass my contact information onto them as I would like to know if they know
anything about the stonecarvers in that family.
Thank you.
Cathi Taylor

Subject: [Clinton Co IN] COLLINS - RODGERS Family Photograph
I've "rescued" an old photograph of Mary COLLINS which was taken at the
Gilbert Studio in Frankfort, Indiana. The photograph appears to have been
taken in the 1880's or 1890's with Mary likely in her 30's at the time it
was taken. Based on limited research I believe I may have located a match
in census records as follows:
1900 census of Frankfort, IN:
Hiram B. COLLINS, age 67, born Oct 1833, married 3 years, born VT, parents
born VT, an Attorney & Editor
Mary COLLINS, wife, age 48, born Jul 1851, married 3 years, no children,
born IN, parents born PA/OH
1910 census of Frankfort, IN:
Hiram B. COLLINS, age 76, 2nd marriage 12 years, born VT, parents born VT, a
Pension Attorney
Mary COLLINS, wife, age 58, 1st marriage 12 years, born IN, parents born PA
1920 census of Frankfort, IN:
Mary COLLINS, age 66, a widow, born IN, parents born PA/OH
Sarah RODGERS, sister, age 74, born IN, parents born PA/OH
I am hoping to locate someone from Mary's family so that this wonderful old
photograph can be returned to its rightful place, with family. If you are a
member of this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me.
Thanks,
Shelley
