Seasons Greetings, everyone,
Chris Brown aka pogoman(a)aol.com recently posted the following to the list,
and it took me a while to remember why this looked familiar.
To Judy Gordon,
Hi, I looked up your GORDONS in "A Portrait And Biographical Record of Boone
and Clinton Counties, Ind.," published in 1895 by A.W. Bowen & Co. Chicago.
I did not find John or James but in an article on David M. BONHAM M. D. on
page 593:
"Jeremiah Bonham was born in Virginia and went to Ohio with his parents at
three years of age. He married Mary Fee, daughter of John and Ann (Gordon)
Fee, natives of Kentucky. [snip]
I also have a Mary Fee in my database, b. 1813 OH m. 16 Nov 1834 Hocking
Co. OH, Rhesa Vanderford. The Vanderfords married into my Gorden/Gordon
and Eastburn families in Missouri. My Gordons were also from Kentucky. I
didn't have your address, Judy, but I'd like to pursue this with you if you
will please contact me.
Best to all,
Mary Ann Hanson maise(a)continet.com
