Subject: [INROOTS] Indiana Cemeteries "Hall of Shame"
As the Indiana Pioneer Cemeteries Restoration Project prepares to
present
our case and the Petitions we have collected to sympathetic members of the
General Assembly, I'd like to compile a list of INDIANA cemetery "horror
stories" to bolster our position.
If you know of an INDIANA cemetery that has been grossly neglected or
abused, please write a paragraph or two (no more) explaining the situation,
whether the site was privately owned, where it is located (county and
township), how many graves, what kind of condition it is in, etc. Send your
report to me at:
LawOfficeInformationSystem(a)worldnet.att.net
or LoisMauk(a)usa.net
If you have pictures, send them to me privately (not to this group) as an
e-mail attachment.
In addition to putting this information together for presentation to
Legislators, I want to put it on the INPCRP website so, if you send it to
me, I shall presume your agreement to allow me to do so.
Thanks.
Lois
