Mary;
Thanks for your reply and offer to help. I would enjoy very much having a
copy of the history of Hopewell Church. By way of explanation; Jonathon
Rice was married to Elizabeth Shroyer. Elizabeth Shroyer was a sister to my
gr.gr.grandfather Daniel Shroyer. All early settlers in Clinton Co.
However, the Shroyers bounced like rubber balls and didn't stay put there.
The Rices did.
Lots of Rice-Beard intermarriages. So as you can see my interest in the
Rices isn't climbing the family tree so much as fooling around with the
twigs on the tree. Know anyone with an interest in this group? If so
certainly pass my name along. Once fall gets here intend to start putting
out some queries on all of these lists that I find myself being a member on.
None are any too active I've noticed.
Again, many thanks. What do I owe you for the photocopies?

Hi Larry and I found a two history of the Hopewell Methodist Church with
Rev. Johnathan Rice who was also a Dr. of medicine as well as minister.
He
held the meeting in his home to formulate a church for this
community. I
have a copy and if you would like a copy please send me your mailing
address.
