As there have been several MOORE postings recently I thought I would post my
MOORE family.
James T. MOORE was born Abt. 1813 in Ohio, and died before 18 Aug 1870. He
married Catharine "Katie" SHERRITT on 27 Mar 1834 in Tippecanoe Co.,
Indiana, daughter of Daniel SHERRITT and Unknown. She was born about 1816
in Ohio.

By 1870 Bad Ax county Wisconsin had become Vernon county and Catharine and
her children are listed without James in the census of that year, leading me
to believe James has died before the census date of 18 Aug 1870.
In the 1880 census of Vernon Co., Wisconsin Catharine is listed as a widow
and her single daughter Adelia is in the household. Catharine is not found
in the 1900 WI, Vernon Co., census.
The child of James MOORE and Catharine SHERRITT shown in the above 1850
Indiana, Clinton Co., census listed as
"MOORE, Elizabeth 15, F, IN" is Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" MOORE, b.
about
1834, Indiana; d. 12 May 1874, Clinton Co., Indiana. She married Barnabas
"Barney" SANDERS 30 Nov 1853 in Clinton Co., Indiana, son of Bartlett
SANDERS and Clarkey RUSSELL. He was born 23 Dec 1836 in Putnam Co.,
Indiana, and died 02 Apr 1913 in Lebanon, Worth Twp., Boone Co., Indiana.

In the 1870 census above "Rosella SANDERS -dau- 02, IN" is my grandmother:
Rose Ella SANDERS was born 14 Feb 1868 in Clinton Co., Indiana, and died 18
Nov 1937 in Frankfort, Clinton Co., Indiana. She married James Thomas
SELLERS 23 Jul 1889 in Frankfort, Clinton Co., Indiana, son of Charles
SELLERS and Martha GRIFFIN. He was born 19 Sep 1858 in near Geetingsville,
Clinton Co., Indiana, and died 28 Aug 1935 in Frankfort, Clinton Co.,
Indiana.
I have quite a bit of information on SELLERS, SANDERS, RUSSELL and
GRIFFIN -- but only what is shown above on the MOORE line.
I have even less information on SHERRITT / SHARRAT / SHARRET / SHARATZ with
its many spellings.
I would be pleased to exchange information with anyone who has an interest
in these lines.
