Frankfort October 27th, 1866
My Dear Cousin, I take the present time of answering your letter to Mother by her request.
Father's families are all well. I have been Married ten years we have two children
Ellen nine years old and Robert three. They are making such a noise I scarcely know what
to write we are very well as usual we live two miles from Home. I have on Sister she is
married and lives in Jefferson. She has two children. She has been married about 6 years
her name is Charlotte Kyler(? Or Kyger). There is three boys at home and one married he
lives near Jefferson they have one little girl. The weather has been very dry this summer
and fall there was no wheat here of any account the corn crop is pretty good the wheat
that was sowed this fall is just beginning to come up good. Aunt Bethia Potter is here on
visit. Uncle Orren is coming out next week. Aunt will stay about two weeks. Mother was
very well pleased with your photograph but would rather have had a front view if you have
any more to spare p!
lease send me one when I have mine taken I will send you one - when you write to Aunt
Saphronia direct to Chicago - Chicago Rolling Mill Illinois - Aunt Phebe is still living
in Frankfort. She was married last winter to Mr. Alexander Given, she was a widow nine
years - Aunt Saphrone Aunt Kathie(?) and Uncle Orren and William Potter are living in
Chicago - my pen is so poor I will bring my letter to a close when you write again we will
be more punctual in answering your letters please write very soon and oblige your cousin.
