Genealogy, Frankfort Coummunity Public Library. I did my best to transcribe
as all attempts at scanning failed. I want to thank Mrs. Grove and highly

MRS. SARAH GOFF
ANSWERS FINAL CALL
Thursday afternoon, at the family
home in Johnson township, occurred
the death of Mrs. Sarah Goff, wife of
Curt Goff, one of the best known and
most prominent farmers in the coun-
ty, death being due to brain trouble,
after a short illness.
She bad been in poor health for
some time but her death was not ex-
pected, and came as a great shock to
her many friends.
Sarah Rector Goff. the daughter; of
Mr. and Mrs. Moses Rector, was
born in Sugar Creek township, where
she resided most all her life.
After her marriage to Mr. Goff, the
family moved to Kansas, where they
resided for a number of years, after
which they returned to Clinton coun-
ty, locating on a farm in Johnson
township.
Mrs. Goff was the mother of fifteen
children, nine of whom, with her hus-
band, survive her. The funeral was
at ten o'clock Sunday from
the family home, the services being
in charge of Rev. Ricketts, with inter-
ment at Baker cemetery, south of
Scireleville.

PROMINENT FARMER DIED FOLLOWING LONG ILLNESS
Jonathan C. Goff, a resident of Frankfort, died at the home of his son,
Western Goff, a short distance east of Hillisburg, Saturday afternoon, after
a long illness with pernicious anaemia. Mr. Goff resided on the coner of
Morrision and Gentry streets, but when he returned from Rochester, Minn.,
several weeks ago, where he had taken treatment a the Mayo hospital, he went
to the son's home near Hillisburg.
Mr. Goff in life was a successful farmer and had retired from active
business. At one time he resided on South Jackson street, when first moving
to this city.

AMOS P. GOFF ANSWERS CALL
Funeral to Be Held at Holiness Church In Michigantown Wednesday
Amos P. Goff, well known retired farmer, died at his home in Michigantown
last night about 8 o'clock following an illness of eight weeks with a
complications of aliments incident to his advanced age.
Funeral services will be held at the Holiness church in Michigantown
Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. Gire of this city officiating.
Interment will be in the Kings Corner cemetery.
Mr. Goff was born in Johnson township on the 7th day of December, 1850 and
was the son of Charles and Hester (Corey) Goff. On the 3rd day of September,
1899 he united in marriage with Goldie Lowden. Practically all his life had
been engaged in farming until a few years ago when failing health forced him
to retire.
He is survived by the widow; two sons, Elsworth of Forest and Owen Goff of
Kempton, one daughter, Mary Alice, living at home; one sister, Mary Bowen of
Westfield; two grandchildren, Walter and Raymond Goff of Forest, one great
grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
