Hi Folks,
I was wondering if there is anyone on the list that is affliated with the
library in Frankfort, the CC Historical Society or the CC Genealogical
Society? I want to verify information that I have posted on the Clinton County
website.
AND......I am in the process of revamping the CC website. I am looking for
ideas from YOU. What kinds of information do you think would benefit the
people researching their family history in CC? Do you want more in the way of
records, i.e. marriage, deed and so on. Or, do you want family group type
information. Or, do you want information about the history of how CC was
formed....the early formation years of CC information.
I am in the process of typing the WPA Death Records for CC. I have the "A's"
almost completed. I don't want to go down through A, B, C and so on.......SO
what letter would you like to see posted on the web? Now, don't everybody
answer this question at once <VBG>!
Any ideas you want to throw around and discuss is alright by me. I'm usually
open to any suggestions.
AND, if you would like to volunteer in transcribing material, or sending in
your family group sheets or information for your surnames I'd be glad to post
the information on the website. I am gathering material to post on the web for
Clinton County. I can't do it all by myself. I need your help!!
Hope to hear from each one of you!
And, don't forget to send in your queries or if you're stumped on a particular
family line send that question to the list. One of us might be able to help
you!
Thanks!

Hi Folks,
I am researching the line of Thomas STAFFORD, b. Ireland, m. Catherine
WILLIAMS in Virginia. They had these children I know about:
1 - Susannah STAFFORD, b. abt. 1817, m. Michael C. PENCE
2 - Henry W. STAFFORD, b. abt 1823, Clark Co OH, m. Mary C. ALLEN
3 - Joseph E. STAFFORD, b. abt 1825, Clark Co OH, m. Mary J. PENCE.
I am interested in all the children, but especially Joseph E. He came to
Clinton Co not sure when, but married Mary J. PENCE in 1856. They had these
children:
1 - John Willis PENCE
2 - George S. PENCE
3 - Joseph E. PENCE
4 - Pence S. PENCE (yep this is correct)
5 - Josephine PENCE
Anyone researching these families? Would love to hear from you!
Darlene
Hi Folks,
I guess I should introduce myself to ya'll. My name is Darlene Anderson. I am
the County Coordinator and the List Manager for Clinton Co. I have been doing
research in Clinton County on the following families: AUGHE, PENCE, AMEY,
STAFFORD, and some others that I dibble dabble with.
I live in Indianapolis, so I'm not to far away from Frankfort but far enough
away that I can not always answer questions about Clinton County. Sometimes I
just don't have the material at my home to answer your questions and most of
the times I just don't know the answers.
So, what I would like to suggest is this....post your questions on the mailing
list. Someone may know the answers to your questions and can help you.
Also, if any of you would like to submit information to be included on the
Clinton County website just send to me in an email. I have some marriage
information sitting here to post for the RANSOPHER and DEFORD surnames that
Kathy DeFord Johnson sent in. So, if you just have a few names of marriages or
deed or wills...whatever send them in. AND, census information too!
And, don't forget send in your queries to the list...family information...lets
share!
Later,
Darlene Anderson
