In 16 Aug 1894, Charles Osborn m Pearl Halbert in Clay Co. His father's name is given
as 'Thos' and his mother's as 'Lyda Wiggle.' There is, then, a record
5 days later, of a birth of male child on 21 Aug 1894 in Clay County to Charley Osborn
and Pearl Halbert. [I sense a story here!]
In 1900, Charles, b Oct 1867, is living with his parents after five years of marriage; no
spouse is listed. (Indiana Census 1900 for Brazil, Clay Co., e.d. 5, sheet 4A, taken 4
June.)
In 1900, Pearl, b Nov 1873, seems to be listed with her mother, Martha, also after five
years of marriage with no spouse listed; she has had 3 children of whom 1 (?Earl, age 4)
is listed. (Indiana Census 1900 for Brazil, Clay Co., e.d. 3, sheet 4B, taken 4 June.)
Pearl is possibly the Pearl Halbert, daughter of Isaac M. and Martha, listed in 1880 in
Jackson, Clay Co., Indiana.
Are these folks the two who were married in 1894? Is there any record of what happened to
the three offspring? Could not seem to find in 1910.
