Here is info on John Bolton and Catherine Sinders family. They are one
chapter of a family history book I am compiling on the Sinders family.
Catherine was sister to my great grandmother, Anna Mariah Sinders who
married John Row.
CATHERINE SINDERS AND JOHN BOLTON
V. CATHERINE SINDERS, fifth child of Conrad and Eva Sinders, was born
February 1842 in Wayne Township, Tuscarawas County, Ohio. She was
married on 18 June 1865 to John BOLTON. He was born 23 November 1838
in Ohio and died 16 July 1917 in Putnamville, Putnam County,
Indiana. He is buried in the Putnamville Cemetery, Warren Township.
1870 - John and Catherine Bolton were living in Clay County, Harrison
Township. John was working in a saw mill. The value of his real
estate was $3000 and personal property of $2400. Their children were
Nancy E. who was 4 and Louis was 3 both born in Indiana.
1880 - This family was living in Warren, Putnam County, Indiana. John
Bolton was 42 and worked at a saw and grist mill. Catherine was 38

Lewis, age 12; John A., age 5 and David was 3. Also living with them
was a 22 year old nephew, Aford COOPER, who was a merchant.
1900 - This census tells us that John and Cassie had been married
for 35 years, had 4 children,
3 of whom were living. Their daughter Nancy Ella had died in 1886,
Lewis had married but
John and David were still living with the family. John, the father,
was now a miller, John,
the son, was an engine fireman and David was a teamster.
1910 - John Bolton was a 71 year old gardner, and his wife, Catherine
was 68. They had been married for 40 years and had 4 children, two
were living. Son John A., 36, single, was living at home and
employed as a foreman in an automobile factory.
