All,
A couple more points about the report on John Albert Bolton:
The birthdate of 6 March 1894 was that of my grandmother, Lillie May Ikamire
Day, the only daughter of Lewis and Etta Mullinix Ikamire.
I looked for John Bolton in 1930 but did not find him. Allie on the other
hand was living in Greencastle on College Street with two sisters, Anna
(Sophia Anna, 69) and Lucinda (Lucinda Elma, 65). Allena was listed as 59
and this would confirm an 1871 birthdate. Living next door was Catherine
Duree, 60, another sister.
Allena was listed as an Ikamire, not a Bolton, so there may have been a
divorce. The Ikamire sisters, Lucinda, Anna, and Allie were known as "maiden
ladies."
Thank you,
Sharon Day Bryant

Subject: Bolton Family Updated
John and Susan, Here is updated information on Lewis Bolton's two son's
and their families.
B. LEWIS BOLTON was born June 1868 and died in 1932. He is buried in
Putnamville Cemetery. He was married 25 March 1891 in Putnam County,
Indiana11 to Mary Savannah CLEARWATER(S). She was born August 1866
in Indiana and died 6 January 1951 in Putnam County, Indiana.
Children of Lewis Bolton and Mary Clearwater, all born in Indiana, are:
1. MABEL LEONA BOLTON was born 22 August/September 1891 and died 22
January 1972 in Putnamville, Putman County, Indiana. 2. BEULAH
BOLTON was born May 1894. She was married 17 August 1912 in Putnam
County22 to Virgil V. McCAMMACK. The son of Asbury A. McCAMMACK and
Cora Elma BOURNE, he was born 21 March 1892 at Mount Meridian,
Putnam County, Indiana and died 9 March 1954 at Hendricks County,
Indiana.
Child of Beulah Bolton and Virgil McCammack is:
a. DONALD McCAMMACK was born 9 June 1913 and died 19 July 1981.
1920 - Virgil McCammack, 27, was living in a rental in Fleming
Garden Addition, Marion County, with his wife, Beulah, 25, and
their son, Donald, who was 6. Virgil was a furniture store salesman.
1930 - Virgil (McCamish), 38, living on Buckhorn Road in the home he
owned in Marion Township, with his wife, (Bula), 35 and son Donald,
unknown age. (The listing for occupations say Virgil is an attendant
at a filling station and Donald owns a general store. I believe it
should be the other way around. Donald would only be 16 and in 1920
Virgil was a furniture store salesman. So in 10 years it is probably
true that he would be a store owner.)
3. RAYMOND BOLTON was born circa 1904. He was married ca 1923 to
Cassie UNKNOWN.
1930 - Ray Bolton, 26, and his wife, Cassie, 27, were living next
door to his parents in a rental house for $10 per month. They had
been married for 7 years and had a daughter Virginia who was 6.
They did own a radio. Ray was working for the state driving a truck.
Child of Ray and Cassie Bolton is:
a. VIRGINIA BOLTON was born ca 1924.
C. JOHN ALBERT BOLTON was born 11 March 1874/75 and died 12 January
1938. He is buried in Putnamville Cemetery. He was married 5 November
1917 in Putman County to Susan Allene IKAMIRE. The daughter of Louis
IKAMIRE and Etta MULLINIX, she was born 6 March 1894 in Putnam
County. Her father was born in Pennsylvania and her mother in Ohio.
1910 -John A. Bolton, 36, single, was living at home and employed as
a foreman in an automobile factory. His father, John Bolton, was a 71
year old gardner, and his mother, Catherine, was 68. They had been
married for 40 years and had 4 children, two were living.
In 1920 Johnny A. Bolton was 44, living on Main street in his own
home free of a mortgage in Warren Township, Putnam County, and
working as a laborer in a cement plant. His wife, Allie, was 44?.
John’s 78 year old widowed mother, Catherine, was also living with
this family. They were living two dwellings away from John’s brother
Lewis and family.
