My relatives lived in Brazil, Indiana and wonder if anyone has any info on
them. Minnie Rector owned a shop on the main st. Al Rardin lived there.
Also, the Turner's were my relatives. Any info appreciated.

I also needed to talk to someone from the Lena area. My Great Great
Grandfather was the owner/operator of the General Store and Post office
in, what use to be, Lena in 1912. (I guess it's changed to Carbon now)
His
name was Daniel Monroe Newton and October will mark 100 years since
his
murder. The General Store was located on 1st street right across from
the
railroad. I am desperately looking for photos from that time.
Pictures
of
the City, of everything there, including a picture of what use to be
his
store. I was there recently and was told by a resident to speak with a
woman named Joanne who is in her 80's and has lived there all her life.
She has a little hair salon next to her home. We weren't able to locate
her during our stay, but this message board might be a good way to find
information too! Thank you to anyone who can help!
