I have some names of students my mom went to school with in early 1920's at Friendly
Grove and Prairie City schools. Grandpa must have lived in homes owned by some Clay co.
Farmers. He farmed for a Mr Stark , Mr Van Horn and Mr Howald in Clay County. Mom
mentioned living at those three places in early 1920's. If interested i could email
part of the story she wrote about this time of her life.

Mary Lou, was there any Orman's among the students at Friendly Grove or Prairie City
shools in that time period? I would love to read what your Mother wrote. One of the people
my husband, Dode Gardner knew. was a man named Lester Howald who lived in Harmony. I
heard the name many times, but have no idea just who he really was?
