It appears that Moses Ekert #2 moved at or near the same time as David Killion and family
to Boone County,Iowa around 1852.My assumption and what I am still trying to prove,is that
these two are brothers-in-law,David married Sarah Ekert in Harrison County,Indiana, and
Moses Ekert married Sarah Killion also in that county.
Both David and his family (without Sarah, believed to have died prior to 1850)appear on the
1856 Iowa Census,as do Moses Ekert age 59 b. NC,Elizabeth age 47,b. IN,Jacob,age 12,b.
IN,and Fany,age 6,b. IN.
It is interesting to note, that also on this census, there is a Tucop Echard age 11,b.IN
residing with David's daughter and son-in-law,Rachel and William Potts.
Also,David's son,Andrew (my ggrandfather) married Emma Eckerd in Boone County,Iowa in
1856.
In 1860 David Killion and son,Jesse, along with Moses Ekert and Fany are residing in the
same household in Nodaway County,Missouri. After that I lose track of Moses.David moved to
Taylor County,Iowa and died there in 1871.
These two Moses have been a puzzle for me,also.
