The Greencastle Times, Vol. 4, No. 11, February 12, 1885
A bursting boiler in the Central Steel Company's mill at Brazil, Ind, playedhavoc with
life and property Tuesday morning. Seven men were killedoutright, and about twenty others
were variously injured. The buildingswere seriously wrecked entailing a loss of some
$10,000. The millemployed 250 men, and is owned by a stock company of citizens.Of the
killed, three were employees, and the remainder tramps whohad sought warmth and shelter in
