Hopefully, Robert Puckett married in Clay or Vigo County between 1940 and 1952. I know
Floyd Sr. was in Van Buren County, Michigan by the early 70's because he died there in
1971. Blaine, Robert and Floyd Jr. died there also.

Hi Will,
When I saw you mention Nancy J. THORLTON, I went back to 1930 to see if I misread the
neighbor Sue Knowlton, but it does appear to say Knowlton.
Did you mean to say Floyd, Sr's, FATHER (Henry) married Nancy J. Thorlton? For
Floyd's wife (Ola in the census), I see a marriage transcribed by Ancestry as Floid
Puckett to Viola THORLTON, 7 Dec 1905 Clay County. Then there's entry for birth of
son Henry B. (9 Nov 1916) to Floyd Puckett and Olive THORNTON in Clay County.
There's also an undated marriage for a Henry Puckett to Nancy J. LAWSON in Vigo County
- just an observation.
Kathy

Yes, this was exactly what I expected to find, that Robert Puckett who died in Grand
Junction, Van Buren County, Michigan, was probably Floyd Jr's brother. Morgan told me
she thought her mother's father was "Bob" Puckett. "Bob" is a
nickname for Robert, so figured that should be what I needed to look for.
I am wondering if there are any marriage records in Clay or Vigo for Robert Puckett and
his siblings. Floyd Sr. was married to Nancy J. Thorlton. The Mattox family is also tied
to these folks. Joseph Puckett was married to Zerish Mattox born 1810. I'm not sure
who her parents were. In 1900 or 1910 Clay county there were a Calvin Mattox and Marshall
Mattox living next to Henry Puckett and wife.
Thanks again for your help!
Will
