Sanders Cemetery is where I expected the Pucket's to be buried. I haven't
been there, but I have seen the book for the Cemetery at Clay County
Genealogical Society in Center Point, IN. You can write them at CCGSILIB PO Box
56 Center Point, IN 47802. That book of Cemeteries is available for
purchase. I would advise you to write them for a search of their records. I will
have to add the price for a search in a separate letter. I don't have the
book for Lewis Township Cemeteries in my possession.
I should add that I don't have anything in my files for Nancy J. Lawson!
There is a large family of Lawson's around Putnam/Clay/Owen County, IN that
are the descendents of Andrew Lawson and his wife Patsy. DNA has been
tested on two different men from that family! No match to me.
Another family is William and Hannah Lawson who settled in Lost Creek Twp,
Vigo County, IN. No one has tested his DNA from that group.
William Albert Lawson's family has been tested. Leroy Lawson is one of his
descendents and was the donor. No match to me.
Gabriel P. Lawson of Clay City, IN, was the brother of my great
grandmother, Nancy Catherine Lawson Michael. James Eldon Lawson and also Dale Lawson
have had their DNA tested and we have lots of matches, but not to other
folks in the Clay/Vigo/Greene County area! Our line goes back to Drewry Lawson
and Hannah Potts of Claiborne Co., TN.
There are other Lawson's in the same area, but I don't have any records for
them.

lol. There was an Abigail Lawson in Clay County in 1880, and Nancy J. was
21, and working as a servant in someone's home. Abigail may have been her
grandmother. Apparently Nancy J. (Lawson) Puckett died in the 40's and is
buried in Sanders Cemetery. Would be great to be able to get a death
certificate to see who her parents were!

Lawson Now you really have my attention! I have a Lawson Connection in
Clay/Greene/Monroe Counties.
And maybe that is why the name Pucket was so familiar to me! I will check
around and see what I can come up with on that subject.

Cool. Do you have a website for them? Could not find anything on
Nancy
Lawson's family, but there was an Abigail there in 1880 who might be
her
grandmother. She was a servant for another family. If I can find
her
death
date, might be able to get a death certificate on her.
Thanks,
Will

The Clay Co. Genealogy Society has a cemetery book.
