There is one book published on Clay County cemeteries but it is for Posey
township only,I checked for your Silas Jessup but he was not listed so if
he is indeed buried in Clay County it must be in another township.I did
find a reference to your Jessup in another book that I have but it is just
a short mention,here is what I found;
***A HISTORY of CLAY COUNTY 1909**************************************
John Stout followed farming in Lewis
township during his active life, which was but brief, his death occurring
while he was yet in manhoods prime. He married Rachel Jessup, a
daughter of Silas and Nancy Jessup, and she, too, died at a compara-
tively early age, passing away at the age of forty-five years.
*************************************************************
We do have plans to publish other cemeteries as soon as they are updated
and we can get them printed up.
BTW: Thanks to the ones with praise for the Clay County InGenWeb site, I
am the host.
Later...........Fred
