Hello,
I need assistance with the following:
Edward Williams was born 9 Aug. 1860 at Rock Farm, Ince, Wigan, Lancashire.
Son of Robert Williams and Margaret Lloyd. (Second marriage for Maragaret).
He had a brother John Thomas, born 20 feb. 1865, as above.
I have a picture which I estimate was taken about 1890 - 1900, and on the
back is written Edward WILLIAMS, Cory, Clay County, Ind. John Thomas
is not traced either.
Research through the Cory Library has been unsuccesful.
The chap in the picture is dressed in `his Sunday best", and I suspect may
not have lived in Cory, but elsewhere in the county.
Recently, while doing an SSDI check I turned up an Edward WILLIAMS, born
1900, and likely in Brazil, as that was his place of residence. He died
October 1968. I have to wonder if this may be a son, as the dates are
compatible.
I know there are a number of WILLIAMs in the Brazil area, and I would
appreciate hearing from anyone who could supply any leads, or
information on possible descendants of the Edward born in Lancashire.
Margaret was first married to an Elias Roberts, my gg grandfather,
who was killed in a coal pit accident in 1856. I have fairly extensive
genealogy of my ROBERTS available for anyone making a connection.
