You may be the person that I have been searching for! My WILKES resided in
Greene Co., IN in 1850 and 1860. I don't know about 1870. John WILKES/WILKS
was supposed to have died in 1878, but I have no idea where he died or is
buried. His wife is Elizabeth FIELDS. I believe that his father was Samuel
WILKES. His mother's name is Barbary. I know that John's son, Francis, died
in Clay Co. in 1916. Let's start with these and see what happens. Wilks is
my maiden name and it has been one of the hardest to trace. Thank you!!

Sorry, I see no WILKS/WILKES in Sanders Cemetery. I'd like given names
and dates because I know there are Wilkes in some of our local cemeteries
because they married into my mother's family. They are buried in Lebenon
Cemetery located in Midland, Wright Township, Greene County.
