I checked Travis--History of Clay County Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, for the name
Brazwell, and found no entries.
If you want a search of the Clay County Cemeteries, send for a search of
the Master Index. They always give you a full hours research time for
your money. These ladies and gentlemen are very knowledgeable and
eagerly do the searches. Another thing that can be searched is the
Family Files. You may find that the record of the death you need is in
the card file. The records from the local Funeral homes are on file
cards. Individuals such as yourself have made out 3X5 index cards for
births, deaths, marriages, and unmarked graves. They have indexed copies
of the 1850, 1860, 1870, and 1880 census.
If you are looking for folks who lived in the eastern part of Posey Twp.,
you might find them at Mewhinney Cemetery in Vigo County. It isn't a
large cemetery, but it is just across the county line. They may be in
Rule Cemetery, it is located just south of Indiana 42 on the old
Staunton, Cory Road.
