The Genealogy Library at Center Point has a list of some of the
occupants of
the home. Most of them were sick persons who for one reason or
another wound
up there. Remember, it was a time when nursing homes did not exist.
There may be an obit, and there is probably a death certificate. My
husband's grandmother died there in 1909. There is no record of her
death,
and none of her place of burial. There is an old cemetery in the
woods, with
no stones, located behind the present nursing home. Our grandmother is
probably buried in there. The home, I believe, is called McCannell
now.
