Hello!
Kizzie Stephens Riggs and Harvey Riggs are my great grandparents. Carl is
one of their children.
Harvey's parents were John M. and Mary Riggs, and I don't have the 1880
census, but they have a daughter Grace listed that I didn't have. Looking at
Clay Co birth records, it appears she married a Tribble.
Kizzie Stephens Riggs was the daughter of John and Martha/ or Marchess
Stuart/ poss Stewart. I know they were born in KY, and so was Kizzie, but
some of her siblings were born in IN.
I have her siblings , if needed.
Now , the one thing I have learned, is that many times, back then, one or
two brothers would come into the area and populate the place. So maybe you
could look for a connection there with the Stephens. Where were the Stephens
you mentioned born?

In cottage hill cemetery is Carl Riggs 1901-1974 Kizzie Stephens
Riggs
1862 to 1914 and Harvey Riggs 1863 - 1932 now that Stephens name makes
the Riggs more interesting.. we now need to know who Kizzie Stephens
parents were and I wonder if they were
Levi and Sarah Ann Chance Stevens.
