You are most welcome; I'm in South Dakota and purchased several census CDs
and Vital Records to help in my own research; in addition to subscribing to
Ancestry and FTM. It's nice to be able to put them to work for someone
else. I'm pretty much at a stand still in my own research and I love this
soooo much that I really get into other people's puzzles and get very upset
when I can't help. I'm glad I got so lucky with yours. Let me know if I
can do anything else.
Sharon

What can I ever do to repay you?
Joseph came from the mining area of Scotland called New Cumnock, Ayrshire.
This
region is noted for having the WORST diction in all of Scotland. So it
is no telling what the census takers thought they heard out of his lips.
Even in the 1940s and 50s my wife was ashamed of the way her cousins from
New Cumnock spoke. Like being from the very back woods of the Ozarks or of
the worst spots in West Virginia or something out of the movie Deliverance!
If you Sharon need any lookups for Dallas or Texas, please let me know!
