I remember Mr. Rissler. He was our school principal when I started
kindergarten around 1958 !
Looking back now, I remember him as being a rather stately looking man with
snow white hair. Wish I had some stories for you but sorry to say I was a
bit young. However, wanted to say it was a nice email to read. I remember
the Rissler house on the way to ole VB.
In the spirit of Bob Hope, " Thanks For The Memories" !

PS. Went to school with Neil Rissler.

Subject: [INCLAY] Clarence Trout and Herbert Rissler
Seeking stories about two of my favorite people, Clarence Trout and
my
father, Herbert E. Rissler, memorable Clay County educators who were
related. I'll tell one about my experience with Clarence, my 7th grade
science teacher at Van Buren. Clarence, who was teaching us a little
about
taxidermy when one of my friends brought to class a beautiful barn
owl he
had killed to show the teacher. I'll never forget Clarence's reaction.
He was heart-sick and proceeded to reprimand the young man and lecture the
the class at length for killing one of "his best friends. He and Dad were
both unforgetable characters. Herbert J. Rissler
