Thanks I do have the book, I will check into the Index only.
I have not been there to walk the cemetery in about 10 years, but it
was in good shape, mostly well maintained when I was there.

Don,
I think there was a coal mine over on the east side of 59 many years ago.
They have stripped caol and recovered the land all over Clay County. I try to
collect all the information I can in Clay County and the surrounding
areas about
mines and miners.
I also have a grave that I hope to find in Greenwell Cemetery. Gabriel P. and
his wife Malsena Gallion Lawson. Malsena's grave was marked 35 years ago. I
hope I can find her grave again, because I want a Military stone set for
Gabriel.
I like to remind researchers that when they can't find their ancestors in
Clay County that they can have a researcher search for them at CCGSI
for a small
fee. Did you know that they have published the HISTORY of CLAY COUNTY by
William Travis on CD! It
has a searchable index and the Index can be purchased separately if you have
the printed Book.Their address is research(a)ccgsilib.com for prices.
