Thanks for the information, I have also walked the Greenwell
Cemetery and could not find stones for Jonathan and Levicy Owen. Have
you ever heard the story that a rock fell on them and killed them? I
know there were some coal fields across Hwy 59 from the Church you
mention, maybe something could have happened there? When I was in
that area, I think you would have a hard time finding even a small stone.

to it. The Clay County Genealogical Society has walked this cemetery and will
have the inscriptions for the tombstones. As I understand it, there are no
records of the folks buried there. If you go one mile farther south
toward Clay
City, there is a grocery store on the East side of the road. Turn
west at that
corner and you will find Maple Grove Cemetery. Those roads down there have
fairly new numbers that I haven't memorized!
