EEK! Ok :) All this while I've been tracing this family called the
Schlatters. I find in an obituary Mary Agnes Slaughter. Now, I have just
found her brother and her parents in Clay County in 1880 as Slaughters as
well. No wonder they had very little when I went to the Clay County
Genealogical Society! Wierd thing is, even on the census it states they are
from Wurttemburg - so Slaughter isn't the correct spelling, but they may
have stuck with that spelling - SO - if anyone has any info on a Slaughter
or Schlatter family in Clay County please let me know. There were some
Slaughter/Slawter families that appear unconnected that I found in the 1880
census as well, mainly Dick Johnson Township. Thanks.

Louisa Slaughter, age 24, IN, Keeps House, OH, NC
Elmer Slaughter, age 2, IN, --, --, IN
Can't find my ancestor in the 1880 census yet, said to be Household 1's
daughter:
Austin Bond Wilson, born August 1848 in Harmony, Clay, IN, died 1932
married to Mary Agnes Schlatter/Slaughter (date unknown), said to be born in
Ohio around 1851, died 3-13-1936. Place and date of marriage unknown -
there was an Austin B. Wilson that married a Mary Bush in Ohio, wonder if
she was married previous to her marriage to Austin. ??? Both are buried at
Owens cemetery. There are also Schlatters (Ulrich and Louisa being two -
seen in household 3) buried there as well. But, I have not been able to
connect them for sure to my Mary, but there is almost no doubt in my mind
they must in some way be related. If you want to know siblings of my Austin
Bond, I can provide a list. I will try and contact CCGS as well, but
sometimes others have worked on lines and have more info than they, so
thought I'd try this first just in case. Thanks in advance!
