Hi,
There is a John MOORE b c 1817 PA in the following 1880 MO census. This is
the one and only time I have reference to John H. MOOREs father (or ANY
family for that matter). He seems to "fit" with your John MOORE. There
seems to be several errors in this census. Young Sarah and James W. were
both, from what I've found so far, born in IL not IN and notice the spelling
of MOORE...ahhh, the fun of the Federal Census : )

I am waiting on some court records regarding, hopefully, my John H. MOORE in
IL. I will pass on any info I might find there.
Regarding William R. MOORE, the dates from the 1850 IN Clay Co census do not
*exactly* match with the William R. MOORE found in the 1870 IL Fulton Co
census. I did receive some helpful info from a wonderful woman just
yesterday on the William R. MOORE in IN:
<<
From _Cemetery Inscriptions of Fulton Co., IL_ v. 10
p15 burials in Marietta Cemetery, Harris twp., sec 16 SE 1/4
These are all the MOOREs in that cemetery. I know that only Wm. R. & Drusilla
relate to the 1870 census but perhaps the others will tie in eventually. Or
provide more clues.

Thank you so much for sharing your MOORE info with me and letting me "bounce"
some info off of you. I have learned more about my MOORE line in the week
then I have in the last 7 years!
