Joseph Jammaka.
Joseph Jammaka, 83 years old, died at 5 o'clock Monday morning at the Hise Nursing
Home, 120 North Twelfthstreet.
He is survived by one niece, Mrs. Bessie Lane of Terre Haute. The body was taken to the
Callahan Funeral Home.
William H. Sims
Dugger, Ind., June 2, (Special)
William H. Sims, 64 years old, died at his home at 6 o'clock Sunday night. He was a
member of the Methodist Church at Indiana Springs and of the Knights of Pythias Lodge of
Dugger.
He is survived by the widow, Ella; one daughter, Mrs Rose Ella Reynolds of Dugger; one
brother, Harley Sims of Linton; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Chastain, of Bedford and Mrs.
Troy Johnson of Chicago, and two grandchildren. The body was rmoved to the Evans Funereal
Home and will be returned to the residence at 4 o'clock Monday afternoon. Funeral
services will be held at the First Christian Church at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon
with the Rev. Ralph Keene officiating.
Burial will be in the Dugger cemetery.
Arthur Burger
Marshall Ill. June 2 (Special)
Arthur Burger, 68 years old, died at 6 o'clock Sunday morning at his home here. He is
survived by the widow Effie;, four sons, Theodore Burger of Omaha Neb., Ernie Burger
ofTucson, Ariz., Clifford Burger of West Covina, Cal., and Leon Burger of Corpus Christi,
Tex., a daughter, Mrs. Catherine Lamb of Paris, Ill; three sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Shotts and
Mrs. Lillie West, both of Marshall, and Mrs. Nettie Reasor of Alice, Tex .,and two
brothers, William and Herman Burger, both of Marshall. The body was taken to the Marrs
Funeral Home.
Mrs. Maude Gilley
Washington, Ind. June 2 (Special)
Mrs. Maude Gilley, 82 years old, died at 4:50 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the home
of her daughter, Mrs. Grace Fullerton.
Survivors are two sons, Harry Gilley, Terre Haute, and Walter Gilley, Washington; four
daughters, Mrs. Grace Fullerton, Mrs.Lyndle Peek, Helen Potts, Washington, and Mrs. Bessie
Hamer, Princeton; twenty grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held here at the Gillis Funeral Home at 2 o'clock Tuesday
afternoon. Burial will be in Oak Grove cemetery.
