I would like to know who to get in touch with to look for a headstone in the Peavey
Cemetery. I have been told that Edward W. Gentry is buried in the old section of the
cemetery, and would like to know if he has a headstone. And would really like to know who
could take a picture of it for me. He was born in 1829 and died Jan 22, 1865, I think in
Georgia, during the Civil War. Civil War records show he is buried in Beaufort National
Cemetery in Beaufort, South Carolina, Section 7 Site 481. He was married to Mary Jane
"Polly" Holliday, and had a son Manson. I know where Manson went and where he is
buried, but know nothing of where Polly went after Edward died. Any help would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks.
