All records for Clay County, except the Deed Books, were lost in Nov. 1851. The Genealogy
Society in Center Point has the Indiana Quaker records on Microfische, but we haven't
been lucky enough to get records for other states. There is quite a bit of information on
the Luther and Cole families in the family files that are are being added to all the time.
I have seen the papers where Mary Comer is shown with the other Cole children. The Cole
family was researched by Ms. Pero who has added a Notebook with her family to the library.
I have a friend who has been researching the same Luther/Cole line as you. If I can
contact her, she can help you. As you know, Allen's sister Nancy Orman was my gg
grandmother. You might also try paid research at the the Library. Their rates are $10 per
hour.
