Mary -
The parents of Arena Jane Denny are 90% probable to be James Denny and
Elizabeth Griffith. James and Elizabeth had two boys, Charles W, b.c1857
and David, b. c1863. By 1870, Elizabeth was the head of household in Clay
Co. and both boys are listed. I am working on the theory that in 1872,
Elizabeth remarried to a Jacob Norman. Neither Denny boy is listed in the
1880 census household of Jacob. David would have been 17 and could have
been out of the household by then and Charles W would have been 23 and a
greater probability to have left. I have not looked for them in 1880.
There is a marriage for Charles W (1902) and a marriage for Charles (1880 to
a Mildred Beasly, another family that has married into the Sills/Denny
families) in Sullivan Co. Otherwise I can't be of much help, I'm afraid.

Sharon, Bill,
One of my Dad's cousins, Beulah Orman, married a Denny. Is she related to
the Denny families you are researching?
