Hello! When I was in Brazil searching through marriage records, looking for Truttier I
found the marriage record of the above individuals. I wanted to share it, as I remember
someone saying they were a descendent of Conrad Truttier. I don't know for sure
whether this is Conrad Truttier, but it might just be a mispelling by the person who
entered it. I also know that a David Donner came to Clay County a long time ago, and that
it is believed the the Danner family are his descendents. So, she may be of interest to
some as well. BUT, it appears that they may be m's instead of n's. Can't be
sure with the writing. Maybe others can help me clear this up. But anyway, here's
the info:
Be it remembered, that on the 17th day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and 54 the following marriage license was issued by the Clerk of the Clay
Circuit Court, to=wit:
State of Indiana, Clay County, Sct: The State of Indiana to any ? empowered by law to
solemnize marriages in said county, Greeting: You are hereby duly authorized to join
together as husband and wife Conrod Trotter and Elizabeth Dommer. In testimony whereof,
I, George Tinckly clerk of the Clay County Circuit Court, have hereunto set my hand, and
affixed the seal of said court (unreadable name) this 17th day of August AD 1854
Geo. Pinckly, Clerk
And afterwards, to=wit: on the 25th day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and 54, Henry Wilkey? returned and filed in the office of the clerk of said
court the following certificate to, to-wit:
State of Indiana, Clay County, Sct: I, Henry Wilkie (ha, it's spelled with a Y above!
funny) a Minister of the Gospel in said county, do certify that on the 17th day of August
1854, I joined together as husband and wife Conrod Truttier and Elizabeth Dommer/Dommes
Given under my hand his 17th day of August 1854
