Sharon..
Thanks for your quick reply and the information with the bonus of the
marriage date. Makes my case a little tougher to prove. I was unaware of
any children.
Hopefully, I can find them in 1880 somewhere and add to the story. I have
the chance to be in Indianapolis in a couple of weeks, so hopefully, I can
do some good there.
Thanks again
Bill Strahle

Bill,
1860 Indiana Census has the following:
Breeding, Benjaman P, 34, b. IN, Farmer, $600 Real Prop, $300 Pers., Not
Literate
Charita, 26, b. IN, Weaver
Melissa, 7
Benjamin P., 3
Wilkins B., 3
Also, I finally found someone on my FTM Indiana Marriage CD! Benjamin
Breeding married Charity Griffith May 4, 1852. I know you had 1858 in
your
query, but since they had a 7 year old daughter in 1860, would think
this
date is the correct one. Also, her age in this census, appears to go along
with what you found in the 1850 census.
Hope this helps,
Sharon rzgrdn(a)rapidnet.com

They
were married in Clay Co in 1858 and I know from indexes they were
there
for
the census in 1860 and 1870. The 1870 census information I have
found on
line lists her age as 30. Does anyone have access to the 1860 census that
would give her age in that census? I believe that she is found in the
1850
census in the household of Sampson Phipps at the age of 15. This
obviously
is in disagreement with the 1870 census information.
