Hello there,
It is 11:26 pm and only crazy people are working on family history at this time of the night.
However, here I am - and found you and your relatives!! and, hopefully, MINE.
We are trying to hook up David Shonk, b:1809 ? in Pennsylvania, who was married to Mary, b:1815 in Pa.
Possibly, David Shonk's father is Jacob Shonk, b:1794 in Pa, died 1855 in Indiana. He married Martha Magdalene Frantz in 1819 in Ohio.
If any of the above sounds like it might join our lines, please email me back soon.
If you have further info on this line - please let me know.
We have a long list of children for Jacob. Ten in fact.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Nancy Shonk Shoup

I do remember a Mable and Frank Deeter that lived in this area. I don't know where they are buried, I believe they have been deceased for around give or take 6 years or so.

The Clay County Genealogical Society library has an index of all the cemeteries in Clay County. If you e-mail them at: research(a)ccgsilib.org they will check for you. Be sure to put the word "research" in the subject line or they will not receive your message.

I am researching a part of my family lines that include the family of James Monroe Deeter and Mary Frances Bryant, both born in the 1860's and married in Clay County, IN. I know they lived in Sugar Ridge Twp, Clay County, IN. At least one of their family members is buried in the Union Church Cemetery near Brazil and I am wondering if there are more.
Does anyone have access to the Union Church Cemetery records or know of this family? I would like to visit with you about them.
