Hi Mary,
Would the Sarah Oliver in this message be any relation to Oliver's that
were in Clay and Owen Counties about 1860? There was a Needham and
Mitchell in the family. Originally from N. Carolina???

FYI: If you descend from Absalom and Cynthia Ann Adams, Cynthia's grave at
Oakhill Cemetery has a temporary marker with both their names on it. Absalom
disappeared after he was 80 years old and nothing is known of him after he
"went west." Next summer the stone will be placed on a permanent base.
The stone was paid for and set by members of Sarah Lowe Smith and Francis M.
Lowe families.

FYI: If you descend from the above couple, a tombstone is now in place on
their graves at Mewhinney Cemetery. It isn't a fancy stone, but the graves
are marked. The money was raised and the stone set by descendents of Sarah Lowe

Hey gang,
Just a short reminder to the vets and newbies at this site of my free research for the asking here at Andersonville. Of the 41000 Union soldiers on record, 1954 are from Indiana.
Please email me directly at Frye(a)pstel.net with request so we dont tie up the county site.
