I recognize the names of Homes and Ada Bandy from Poland; tho I don't recall
a Troth family in the area. There is a creek called Croy's Creek on the
Clay/Putnam county line road although there were no families by that name
still there when I grew up. If you can tell me what you need on the Bandy's
I can check to see what I can find out for you. I'll be there tomorrow
(fri 2/18) visiting family.
FYI: Cunot is located in Owen Co, IN.

Carl,
There is an obit in the Terre Haute Tribune for Carl F. Hipplehauser; it is in the Dec. 21, 1933 issue. It may tell you the cemetery; I say may because sometimes they are no more than death notices. You can obtain a copy from the Vigo County Library. Someone on this list said the obits are now $2.00 each. Library contact information:

Looking for info on any JERRELLS/GERRELL in Clay county IN about 1830?
My gggrtgrandfather Jefferson Jerrell said in his pension file that he was
born there in 1828.
I have checked census records for that county and did find a John
Gerrell/Jerrell there in 1830.
I'd love to hear any info on these JERRELLS
Thanks

I am interested in finding out any information on Elizabeth (Lillie) Bemis who married a Wigginton, probably in Indiana. They had a daughter, Elizabeth (Lillie) Bemis Wigginton in Jeffersonville, IN in 1862, who married Henry A. Armstrong in 1880 in New Orleans. Any information on this family would be much appreciated. Thank you.
Have you tried emailing the Clay County Genealogical Society? They have recorded all of the cemeteries and are in the process of publishing township books. Several are already available; however, in any case they say on their cemetery page that all cemeteries in Clay County have been recorded by Society volunteers.

Need to find out if Mary Dunnihay's husband Matthew is buried next to her. He died between 1882 and 1900 and was a coal miner. She Died Sept. 6, 1914 in Brazil, Clay Indiana. Her last name is misspelled as "Dunmhan" on the death cert. , and she is buried at Union cemetery (Jackson?)
I live on Long Island would someone be able to go to the cemetery and ask the office or look for their gravestone? Matthew's death cert. was probably burnt in the fire of the Bowing Green Courthouse before it moved to the new one. I don't think they'd be buried separately, both born and immigrated from Scotland 1871 & 1871. Thanks to any Genealogy angels!

Could your Dunahey be related to a Jennie Dunahey who married a Robert Short
in Clay County in April 1880. She was born in 1861 and it says in Ohio but
doesn't show where her parents are from. Fathers name is George Dunahey. We are
looking for all of these different related families. Some of these families
are buried at Cottage Hill Cemetery in Brazil, Clay County.
