Helllo,
It is quite possible that your Phobe and my Andrew Jackson McNamar are
related but at the moment I cannot find the older information that would tell
me if I have anything relating to your Phoebe. I am up to my ears in Wheeler
information that I am trying to put in book form for posterity. Here is what
I have easily accessable:
John Calvin McNamar - b 1779 VA, d Nov 1846 IN
..+Elizabeth Truby - b abt 1787 VA, d IN
....John N. McNamar - b 1814 OH; d abt 1868 IN
…..+Peggy Wright
........Andrew Jackson McNamar - b 1832 IN, d aft 1882
......+ 2nd wife of John N.: Dizza Haltom b NC
..........+Elizabeth Wease - b 1833 Switzerland, d 1872 IN
............Josephine McNamar - b 1862 IN, d 1949 OH
..............+Thomas Linton Wheeler
Somewhere I have other information that others have sent me but as most was
not proven at the time, I did not enter it into my computer yet. I will look
for it as soon as I clear a space that I can check on it.

Mary -
I've just started this branch of the tree, so I
have very little. The only Orman I have at this
time is Joshua Leigh Orman b. September 05, 1984.
His father (my son-in-law) is Terry Lee Turner.
I don't know the first name of his mother,
obviously her last name is Orman.
I used to live across the street from John Orman
here in California, but lost tract of that family
when I moved 25+ years ago.
I'll send more when I get it.

Hi Amy,
I will look and see if these names and dates match up with anything I have. Recently, I have found out about other siblings of Jacob and their lines, so perhaps, I will have some help for you. You are so right about being stumped! Been there, done that....but, then all of a sudden one day, things begin to fall into place. Keep the faith!

Is there any possibility that your Andrew Jackson McNamer could be a
relative of my gggrandmother Phobe (sp)McNamer b. 1817 in Va. who married
Asa Bell and lived in Sullivan county, Indiana? They are ajoining counties
and Pheobe(sp) seems to be a forgotten relative.

There is a wide spot in the road on St. Rd. 59 south of I 70 called Ashboro!
There is still a church and some homes there. It is located in Sugar Ridge
Township.
Mary
Thank you for your kind offer to look-up information at the Allen County
Public Library in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. I am looking to find the date of death
of Andrew Jackson McNamar. He was born in Clay Co, IN in Aug of 1832. The
last record I have found of him was the 1900 Clay Co census. He was living
with his son in Brazil. Around 1906-7 many of the family moved from Clay Co,
so I am guessing that he died in that time period, I have not found any
information even on my visits to Clay Co, which don't happen often.
I will be glad to pay whatever cost you incur, just let me know how
much and where to send it.
Pat Dallas, San Antonio, TX
Terri,
Yes. I sent you and Barb a genealogy report for this line to your personal

Take your time, the information will be good when you find it. I too, put things away and do not remember where. I worked the graveyard shift before so I know what you are going through. Get plenty of rest. Carolyn
H list,
In two weeks, my dad and I are going to the Allen County Public Library in Ft. Wayne, Indiana - the second largest place for genealogy records in the U.S. Just to let you know I will take requests to do a lookup for either census, death index, birth index, or marriage index. I will however, request a contribution to defray costs of copies and postage.
Thanks,
Monica

Hi, The lady that compiled the info about the Michaels is a relative and she did it over many years and had it printed for a reunion of the family about 5 years ago. But my husband put it someplace (where he would remember where it was) and has forgotten where he put it and I'm in the process of finding it. I work full-time and am on gravyard right now so it's a slow process. But will try my best and am glad you are excited. Thats a good thing. toodles, Betty sure wish we could chat
